I had a great time in Jackson, TN, this last weekend. I flew to Nashville, met my friend Carol, and was picked up at the airport by Diane. We all drove over to Jackson, where we met other friends--both old and new. Had dinner with Annette and Arland, Michelle W, Jen, John, and many others. Had good run on Saturday, in spite of the heat. At one point, I was dead last. Well, not dead...but the last one. I finished ahead of 13 others, so I slowly gained ground as I tried to keep my steady pace. We were privileged to have showers at the end--always better than washing up in the airport restroom.
It was number 131 and state #22 the second time around.
I learned that Hammer's Recoverite really works. Didn't take time to mix and drink it, and my muscles are slower recovering than when I take it. I'll definitely take time for it next time.
Next on the calendar is Kentucky Derby on April 28.
